Introduction
What’s Plainworks.
Welcome to Plainworks. Here we will give a brief introduction to our specific work flow, our style, and AI. If you have any concerns before requesting our services, please read this document. If you still have questions, please feel free to contact us using the form.
For convenience, I refer to it as "we", but this is my personal project and I have no other employees. I hope you understand that Plainworks is my personal project.
I was born and raised in Japan, and I love convenient, productive software.
And have great respect for indie developers. I have respect for the many people around the world who continue to perpetuate Open Source and personal development projects, rather than the big tech services that have made it difficult to find how our personal data is handled and stored across the internet.
The reason I started Plainworks is that I believe the Japanese market is relatively behind in global expansion and is characterized by a lack of access to information from overseas. One reason for this is insufficient Japanese localization. In addition to being unfamiliar with information from overseas, people are very sensitive to unnatural Japanese fonts and unnatural Japanese phrasing, and tend to shy away from software services that use these. As a user, you can simply choose not to use the app or service, but for the developer, it means losing a user. Even so, as a developer's personal project, there are limits to advertising and PR budgets, so it would be a shame to lose users who have been so hard to find because of paid contracts for AI translation or font selection based on AI instructions. AI can provide the desired answers, and the accuracy rate has improved dramatically compared to before, but someone still needs to check whether the answer is correct or incorrect.
Do you ever ask people without coding knowledge to review and verify code written by AI? - I think the answer is definitely no.
So I think I can help you with Japanese localization.
